In Metsovo, in the old days, the feast of the Saint was celebrated in his chapel, which is attached to the Monastery of Agios Nikolaos of Myron in Lycia. However, because the festival was degraded, during the first Exarchate of Archimandrite Benedict Voila (1893 – 1900 aC), May 17 was established as a local holiday.

Today in Metsovo, the memory of the patron saint is celebrated with all splendor as follows: In the afternoon of the eve of the feast there is a procession of the Holy Icon and the relics of the Saint. The holy procession, starts from the Holy Temple of Agia Paraskevi, passes through the main streets of the city and ends at the Holy Temple of Agios Dimitrios. There is a Great Episcopal Vespers, with a bread class and a divine sermon. On the day of the feast, a solemn Hierarchical Divine Liturgy is celebrated in the Holy Temple of Agios Dimitrios. On the evening of the feast, in the chapel in the Holy Monastery of Agios Nikolaos Myron of Lycia, the prayer canon of the Saint is sung, while later in the central square of Metsovo the dance clubs of the city present a rich festive program.
